Eurgghhhhh just doing the math's & although I know DH will be happier & we will be better off in the long run with his new job it is so annoying that we will have less money to pay off the debts & then save for our home.
Might add 2 or 3 months onto our debt free journey, this means that we are likely not to be able to start saving anything until this time in 2017 & it will take us longer to get the amount of deposit together so means it might be 2021 - 2022 before we can buy our home.
I do realise I am quite early with this little rant in here but there is no way I am going to voice this with DH, as obvious as it is he won't think of it like this as the finances are all left down to me & I don't want him to think that I am not happy for him.
I'm just so excited for us to get debt free then buy our wee home, I suppose it doesn't matter that it will take us a little longer.
Main thing is he will be happier at work, have better job security & career prospects. The debt freedom & the home will still come but just a little later than we had hoped.
Totally talked myself round there, did you notice that

Keep going Dolly. You are doing so well and payday is coming. To have savings in August 2017 will be amazing. I am rooting for you. xx2017- 5 credit cards plus loan
Overdraft And 1 credit card paid off.
2018 plans - reduce debt0 -
You're right, it will be amazing.
I cannot wait to have savings & no debt.
So what if it takes a little longer eh.

we all end up working a long time, so it best be something you enjoy.
Congrats on the Very account Dolly that soon be one to cross off the list
As things get paid off its extra pennies back in the pot for something else you may find it catches itself up at some point and doesn't take as long as you think.
Like the catalogue owning your home is just another on the list to cross off it will happen.0 -
Definitely Tori, I'm so excited for him to start.
I know he is going to love it.
The debt & home will still happen & we will enjoy it even more when it comes.
Very will be gone next week, woo hoo!!!

Just caught up with your diary - I'm in awe of your organisation skills, well done! You're giving me holiday envy, too...
Going back to a post you made ages ago re: wanting to start running - just do it. I thoroughly recommend Couch to 5k if you haven't run for a while, and Parkrun if you can get up for 9am on a Saturday
There's a weird paradox with running: when you want to run and you have wobbly bits (which everyone does, from a size 8 to a size 30), you're convinced that people will judge you. But when you see other people running, you're automatically impressed with them whatever size they are.Overdraft: [STRIKE]£715[/STRIKE] £220
Barclaycard: [STRIKE]£889 [/STRIKE] £1,089.33
Loan: £1450 [STRIKE]£50[/STRIKE] £500 -
I love being organised!
It makes me feel good in my soul haha.
I think I might just give it a go, will download the C25K app on my I phone & just head out.
You are totally right about everyone having those wobbly bits, just some larger than others.
I just posted to your diary at the same time you posted this, how spooky!

Ooh running, it's the best feeling ever! Go for it. As a novice runner myself sometimes, my advice would be to not try to run too fast. Go the slowest you can possibly manage and you'll run further and feel better.
I feel like Paula Radcliffe whatever speed I'm going.
(If Paula was 5'5" and slightly tubby. But y'know, whatever works.)If you know you have enough, you're rich.0 -
Will keep you posted when I give it a go.

I have literally no idea at this stage what is going on with my funds, I am just gonna wait until payday gets here to do all the math's.
In work until 4pm then off out with the girls in work for dinner & some drinks(I have the car so no booze for me).
