2016
1. Spending money for 2016 cruise
2. Pay off ALL debt - £12,710.91 in total
3. Start saving
Getting together the spending money for our cruise have been saving up for a while for this, will figure out the amounts we have in total over the next few weeks then buy our currency before we go.
Debt is not going so well, moved house & had some unexpected spends which always seem to rack up when its household stuff! Waiting on my deposit back from the old flat which is £600 to will update my payments once that comes in.
Haven't started saving for the house yet as we are trying to get the spending & the debt under control first. Looking forward to getting back from my holiday so that I can get a good plan in action - how sad :rotfl:

2016
1. Spending money for 2016 cruise - Getting there with this, have had to dip in to this a couple of times due to bad budgeting but will still manage with what we have in there.
2. Pay off ALL debt - £12,710.91 in total - This has been climbing & climbing & this is the last of it. Had loads of stuff added to this recently due to moving house & having to buy furniture & all kitchen appliances. This will start going down as of March 2016.
3. Start saving towards £1000 EF - Haven't made any headway towards this at all.
4. No unnecessary spending on CC's - This will stop as of March 2016.
5. Cancel 3 CC's - Haven't cancelled any as they all still have rather humongous balances.
6. Cancel catalogue - Still has a balance will be looking to have this paid off in May 2016.
7. Save £3000 for Canada 2017 - Will make a start on this March 2016.
Okay so updated each of my goals, will start trying to check in on here more often.

So my day so far has consisted of.........
Dentist - cried for like 5 mins, had a scale & polish. Need to go back in 2 weeks for another. My own stupid fault for not keeping up with appointments due to my major fear of the dentist. This dentist was great though & I do not want to be a wee gumsy woman so I am going to keep all of my appointments from now on forever & ever for the rest of my life.
Out shopping with Mum - For the first time in I do not know how long I never spent a penny! I almost bought a pair of sandals which I would have to have put on the CC but I put them back & left the shop without them - I am so proud of myself!!!!
Visit my Granny - Not seen her since December, I am such a bad granddaughter. Been so busy with work & moving house but really that's no excuse, need to be visiting at least every 2 weeks from now on.
Just at home now waiting on the Mr getting home, we will just have a nice relaxed night in & watch a DVD or something.

Okay so it's a new month.
I am not going to make any real updates to debt this month, mainly because my balances are going to go up again due to car tax & car insurance coming out this month.
One fine day I will have a fund specifically for this & not have to use a credit card.

Feel like I am going to get my life together in the next tax year :rotfl:
It's got to happen sometime right, I cannot be like this for the rest of my life it would just be too stressful.
All I can think about it getting myself into a good position in life financially & the sooner I can do that the better. Means I will be in a much better position later in life.

Hi Dolly, just read your diary start to finish and wanted to say you will get there. I know what you mean about the credit cards it doesn't seem like real money until you add those totals up and get eekk moments. I've now got my cards and dh hidden and I cut one of his up which has not been used for ages so I wanted to remove temptation. Keep your chin up hun.MBNA 0% ends 10/04/2020 £15843
Virgin 0% ends 09/06/19 £ 8007
Virgin 0% ends 17/7/19 £6379
Virgin 0% ends 17/7/19 £ 7229.26

I go on holiday in 9 days :j:j:j
Once I am back let the debt-busting commence - whoop whoop!
I have figured out though that I may not be debt free by Christmas 2016, its just not feasible with the amount that I owe & the fact that I am going to Canada next year.
So the new plan is to pay off all the debt in the 2016/17 tax year.
April 2016 - Paid 506.00 - Debt Remaining 12,273.24
Will update the figures monthly, I would love to still pay it all off by Christmas but hey ho there you go, we must sometimes admit defeat.
