Hi JD, I have subscribed to your diary and look forward to seeing your progress. Sorry to hear about your job not becoming permanent, but if you like it there and they have another temporary position to offer you that would be good. Well done on getting so much christmas shopping done already, I promise myself every year that I will be organised, but I've still only got one present so far and its nearly November!! Good luck on your journey, just keep plugging away and keep posting here, it will keep you going.

    Hi AleMrsT,
I have tried hard this year with the crimbo shopping, got some vouchers that I have been paying each for each month coming soon so that also helps reduce the Christmas spends.
I think that I am going to stay where iam at work for the minute as I do love it there. I had a bad experience at my last job and basically my confidence hit rock bottom, this place has helped me feel like me again and I think I need this security for a tad longer. Low spend day today as I had a late night meeting, plus iam trying to eat healthier. My folks came round for tea as my mum has had an op so cant use one of her arms at the mo. It was nice!, my mother in law was a god send today as welll as little one was ill in the night, she did all my washing and drying so saved me a massivejob. We havnt always got on but have been very grateful of her support since I left my last job.
    Hopefully a nsd tomorrow.
    Enjoy your evening

Been looking for jobs to see what is around, feel that I may have to go back full time, I currently work 0.8, as there are no jobs for this, I was lucky to land on my feet for this one. Am thinking of asking my current employer if I could go back full time to gradually get me used to full time again! I can only ask, when I suggested going to 3 days my hubby laughed and said it wasnt an option, I think we could do it but he thinks not, he likes having nice things!!
Today we went to a local wildlife park with one of my mummy friends and her hubby, was great as the two got on which pleased us both as it means we can do more things together. We ate out so a spend there but we dont do it often!! Our friends have annual passes and I think we will get them too as we have been there a lot this year. On the plus side we can use what we paid today off the passes so thats great news.
Was ill yesterday so no spends and I have lost weight this week, have been trying really hard to be good, hope I can keep it up after half term.
    Hope everyonehas a great week

Well I have had a good week money saving wise! My friend gave me a free pass to her gym this week so me and the little one went swimming for free, he loved it! This weekend we went to stay with some friends, we had a lovely time and we returned home well fed and very chilled. We budgeted for the weekend but came in well under budget which is a bonus.
I spent some time updating my cv this week in preparation for job applications and my good friend and colleague checked it through for me.
Me and hubby have worked out our budget for the month, I have also started rounding our account down and using the money to pay off the credit card as I really need it to be paid off before mybirthday in jan. I have been looking at having a sneaky but cheap fsmily weekend away for my birthday.
I noticed that the club card points have been takenaway so I should expect some vouchers in the post soon, looking forward to using them for somecrimbo pressies. I am also going to order the turkey for crimbo lunch so that ican put the funds aside.
They are having a table top sale at our local church hall on Saturday, I have loads of ds clothes to sell so think I may do a stall.
Back to work on tuesday hope everyone has a great weekxx

Had a lovely day today, went to play group with ds and then to a friends house afterwards, a few little spends, I got some paint from pound shop to stsrt making christmas cards this weekend with ds. I cleared out some clothes today so am going to ebay them. Also found some old curtains, they are the same colour as my living room I need new cushion covers so am going to dig the sewing machine out and make them. Am loving the new crafty me, it was my new years resolution and iam so thankful to the people that have taught me, it certainly helps with the debt busting as well.
I also sorted some of ds clothes out for a local refuge, I have found it hard to part with them but this seems a worthy cause.
Heard that the vouchers I save up for Christmas will be coming in the next week and so the shopping can commence, also checked my saving stamps for Mr T and i will have enough to buy the turkey and a few bits so very pleased! ! Well back to work tomorrow, lunches are made, yea with inlaws so no cooking tomorrow, will leave the purse at home fingers crossed for a nsd. Enjoy your day xx

Hi, just a quick update before bed!
Had a very low spend weekend dh was working so I spent lots of time with my folks who fed me and ds and then send dh a food parcel, so all good. Had to go on a speed awareness course today, was actually really useful as apparently lots pf things have changd that I didnt know about.
Placed tea in slow cooker and so was ready when I got back.
Me and hubby decided to be more organised with house sork so we a re going to have a good half an hour each day once ds is in bed to keep on top of washing and tidying.
I am also going to get up earlier to make my mornings less s tressful.
Tried to sign up for ww today but the site kept crashing, managed to do it through tcb so cost me hardly anything. I need to lose some weight its starting to get to me.
Am gojng to start rounding down my cc balance so today I paid 6.87 from it.
Hubby is currently ina foul mood as ds has moved his xbox game and I dont know where it is. Think I will leave him to it lol xx

What a week ! Budget went to pot last weekend as we went to center parcs, got some pressies for crimbo though and ds loved it!! I just hate spending money and my sister loves to spend, I always feel like we are trying to keep up. Then to top it all I scraped my car, hubby was furious, ad was I but I did not need a lecture!! Its not too bad so can wait, but I am getting some quotes so I know how much to save. Also my wisdom tooth is giving e grief so need to visit the dentist. Just feel like its been a hell of a week. Hubby out yoday so me and little one been for a walk to the supermarket, only spent 4.76 so thats a bonus and I earnt activity points for ww. Have really stuck to it this week so fingers crossed for a loss, I dont mind losing pounds in weight lol, hope everyone had a good weekend xx

Thought I would check in as its been a while. Had a great christmas lots of food adn drink and quality time with family, we also kept in budget so am very pleased. My waistline isnt very happy at the mo so I need to get back on it.Very proud ofmy hubby as he resisted the sales, we normally get him lots of clothes but he asked how the finances were looking and decided not to buy them. We have bought a new bed before chrstimas, we were desperate, wenhave put it in on the cc but have recievd some money for crimbo so will put that towards it, also got cash back. We decided tompay more as we are getting annoyed with buying cheap and then having to replace, this will last us years!! Reallly want to start upcycling thsi year as well. Finances ae looking good, we got out of the overdraft before chrsitmas but I have been paid warly and this has thrown me so we are back into it but not by loads.Been looking for insurance quotes for dh, his renewal price is turning out to be the best deal. Ds was spoilt this christmas by family, we spent very little kn him and have booked his bday party instead. Anyway thats it for now hope everyone else is well xxxx
