Haven't been on for a while so thought I would write a quick update. Had a lovely break and managed to stay on budget, picked up some more Christmas presents for ds and some other little bits for friends. I wrote a list of who we need to buy for so that I can be organised. I got paid on friday and was a little more than I calcualted! Lucky reallly asa my car developed a slow puncture whilst away so needd to sort that out! Had a lovely day at a local food festival today, went with the in laws,, they made a picnic and got the ice cream, we bought the coffees. They also then made a sunday lunch for us all so a really cheap but lovely day today. Food shopping tomorrow and back to work tuesday. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Am on a mission to keep fit and lose some weight, I feel so uncomfortable at the moment. X

Hi Dolly rocker, we have done really well so far, got £20 left to last till friday but we dont need anything so fingers crossed!! Hubby is definitely on board now too so thats helping loads. Have emptied all my toiletries from birthdays and christmas into my bath room cupboard wont need to buy any for ages!!! Got a voucher for a crimbo pressie for little one so will get that and then he is sorted. Also got some other bits!! Got two long weeks ahead as I am working 5 days, I normally only work four, but I will get paid which will be a nice bonus to throw at the debt. Xx

  • That's good especially if there is nothing you need.

I need to sort out all my toiletries aswell, I always end up buying duplicates cos I put them away in a cupboard & forget about them.

Determined to stop wasting money on doing things like this.

I can't wait to start my Christmas shopping, I will be getting paid for an extra 62 hours at the end of this month so I am hoping that will cover it all!

Its hard to get used to the change in hours but just remind yourself why you are doing it & it will be fine.

Had a mixed day today, no spends on my part but was gutted tonrecieve a text from the bank to discover hub has been spending (swiping) as I put it. Was so annoyed I sent hi, the text and told him how I feel, he realised I think!!! It wasnt much but that isnt the point.

Am trying so hard to tackle this debt and stay on budget, I want to be able to save, hopefully the OT will help.

On the plus side my MIL cooked a lovely tea so no spends or food from home. Looking forward to a chilled night, meand hubby are starting to make plans about how to improve the house, he needs something to aim for xx

Feeling a tad down today, was hoping that my tempmposition atwork would be amde more permanent, was told today that there is no funding to do so despite me working very hard. I was beside myself, I have to decide if I want to take on another temp role for 7 months in same place or move on. I love it there so would loveto stay but itmwans taking myself out of my comfort zone. Anyway it has made me evenmoredetermined to crack the debt. Hubby, s car has been fixed and we have no real spends this week, the fridge and cars are full. We should be out of od next month which will meanmore to check at the debt, i needto stay positive xxx
