  • Quick Update:
    1) Swiftcover have very quickly corrected their mistake without any trouble, which was nice.
    2) Hastings Direct have responded to the first contact with an outright "NO".
    3) Surething have stated that they will happily re-issue the NCD letter when Hastings Direct issue their NCD letter.

I doubt they take much notice with over 8 yrs as I have over 50 yrs but they only ever show "over X years"
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

I took out a policy with more than around 3 years ago and stated I had 16 years no claims.

They requested evidence and I sent the previous renewal notice which listed 'more than 9 years'. This was accepted by more than at the time.
  • Hi,

A very similar thing happened to me a couple of weeks back! My previous provider (GoSkippy) gave me my renewal letter stating 1 year NCB. I was shocked because it should have stated 10. After some long phone calls they claimed that they did not receive my proof of NCD when I took the policy out (which I dispute)... they did, however, correct it but it involved me emailing them the previous policy's proof of NCD.

I would definitely recommend you have evidence of every single year's worth of NCD... youve earned it!

That must be how they came up with the company name
