Hello, I am a newbie here. I received my ticket in September, appealed on the website twice, 1 week apart from each other but did not received a email confirmation.

2 months later, I have now received a letter from a debt collecting company, demanding money. I did not received a confirmation or have no letters from NCP denying my appeal.
Has anyone received anything? Has anyone had similar problems. I am going to contact NCP & debt collectors in the morning to find out what's going on.

If anyone could help, this would be great.

    Thanks

Do not contact the debt collectors. Post 4 of the above mentioned NEWBIES thread explains why.

You are facing nothing of the sort, do some googling.

Realise that they have 6 years to pursue you for this, so try and put it to the back of your mind and move on till the next round turns up
  • Stress not... you are doing the right thing. Appealing to NCP - good idea. Writing to complain to BPA once you were ignored - good idea. Let it run.

Why should you not worry. ZZPS debt collector very very unlikely to start court action. Keep ALL post that drops through door. Only respond back here in remote circumstance you get Court Papers. In the meantime keep pestering NCP and BPA to get POPLA code. Enjoy giving them hassle.

What you should not do... communicate with the debt collectors. Except if you want to write some sort of cease and desist letter (deny the debt) in an attempt to stop the harassment. Probably wont stop the junk mail (keep all of it), but could be useful down the line.
