NCP ignored my Appeal.....

hi all,

had a PCN from a quiet station car park driveway, a good 400yds from nearest car space (with car space lining).
no signs or double lines etc were evident on the driveway so say I could not park there, photo's were taken to
prove so I could appeal. was only parked there for 1 hour to visit someone nearby.

I appealed to NCP within the 14 days allowed via their website as per instructions, submitted successfully.

Didn't hear anything then 2 months later I had a letter from ZZPS limited stating I now owed them money!

I have since complained to ZZPS, upon which they replied to say that the case would be put on hold
while they contact NCP. they then sent another letter a few weeks later pretending that this never happened!

I have also complained to NCP about this too, with no reply so far 10 days later. I have however noticed
that they do not send a confirmation of your enquiry to your email address, so they cant state that I did not
appeal.

I believe that they have ignored my appeal and instead gone down the route of having their money anyway
by selling the debt to ZZPS !!! ?

Any advise please ??

thanks,ste

NCP are BPA members so get on to them and complain that you haven't had your POPLA code although you appealed in the timescale.

Don't engage in telephone conversations with debt collectors. All communications need to be in writing.

AS above. BPA will lean on the PPC to get it cancelled - if your info is correct!

ignore the debt collectors, as it says in post #4 of the NEWBIES sticky thread
  • thanks. I have just messaged NCP again via there website asking for the POPLA no'........
  • Hi, I am a complete newbie but find myself in a similar situation, i received a ticket, then appealed to f1rst parking, never had a response, and now a letter from debt recovery plus ! and like 1983escort i got no email confirmation, however i did save what i said in my complaint (was the template from the newbie thread).

Just to confirm to I complain to the BPA or to f1rst parking? and am i correct in thinking I should have received a POPLA code after originally appealing , which i could then check to see whether they responded within a set time?

    thanks

Complain to both. If you have any other questions, on this forum we keep to one thread - one person's problem so you would need to start your own thread for further help.
  • UPDATE

I have made a written complaint to the BPA including evidence of my appeal in writing to the NCP
and dated evidence of contacting both NCP and ZZPS ltd and all information I have asked for,
and subsequent lack of responces. BPA are looking into the matter.

In the meantime despite informing ZZPS by email that my appeal is being looked at by the NCP
they are refusing the call of further debt collection via Solicitors (of which i have now received
a letter from). NCP have also refused to call off debt collection whilst my appeal is being looked at.

So i am now facing potential CCJ and yet no one has yet replied to my appeal, given me a
POPLA code or acknowledged that my appeal remains un-answered............unless the BPA
will intervene soon i just dont know where to turn - all these companies to is ignore my reguests.

NCP / ZZPS wouldn't dare take this to court whilst the BPA were investigating. They would lose hands down the moment you pointed out to the judge that the BPA were investigating you not being allowed to take it to POPLA.

Personally I'd stop communicating with ZZPS entirely - toothless debt collectors who can't take you to court ( despite their implications ). FYI, NCP haven't sold the debt - there is no debt to sell.

Of course you might like to complain to the MD of NCP - if only someone could supply you her email address .... oh .... jo.cooper@ncp.co.uk

  • Hello, I am a newbie here. I received my ticket in September, appealed on the website twice, 1 week apart from each other but did not received a email confirmation.

2 months later, I have now received a letter from a debt collecting company, demanding money. I did not received a confirmation or have no letters from NCP denying my appeal.
Has anyone received anything? Has anyone had similar problems. I am going to contact NCP & debt collectors in the morning to find out what's going on.

If anyone could help, this would be great.

    Thanks
  • upon readin this im seeing a horribbl pattern here

have also been waiting for ncp to acknwledge my appeal from last month havent heard a word and like above have no proof because it was via their website

last think i need iis debt collectors
