Premium Bonds - what's wrong ?

I average around 0.95% AER, using a very rough calculation. I've had nothing this month, and never three figures or more. But it works as part of other things, and there's always that chance (albeit small) of the big win. Probably not the best place for my one and only savings, but that's not what they are.0

Statistically you have a better chance of winning big and have a more reliable rate of return by putting the money in a savings account (or more likely an interest paying current account) and using some of the interest to play the lottery.0
