* warm up the pony PROPERLY
* buy the new tyres WHEN advised to
* Do not let DH pack the picnic...yoghurts with no spoons anyone?
* An idiosyncratic but kind and effective loading technique CAN be embarassing when another PC mum stands and stares at you when the Plops is recalcitrant.

Haha. Well DD1 stands in the trailer, hat ON. I lead Plops to the bottom of the ramp then usher her in, lead rein in my right hand and (sometimes) stick in my left. Then as she goes in I pass the rope to DD who ties the Plops up.
If we use the traditional method, she flings herself off the ramp!
