I suspect it is just "in the price bracket". A neighbour had his up for over a year and then just gave up. A friend getting divorced had the ex home up for nearly 2 years before it sold. Both were lovely properties in a price bracket with lots of other lovely properties and both were houses you had to want as opposed to buying because in a school catchment area or whatever.
Another friend sold hers in 3 days by putting it all over faceache and getting her friends to do the same - but - hers was in a great school catchment area ....Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
We are in the area for good and outstanding schools. Does faceache work? I would've thought people looking would go to rightmove first?0

Fingers crossed then. Often people get itchy feet this time of year.0 -
Hope so! I have just clocked a couple of women giving our house a good looking at. They are not local.0

Jolly day yesterday. Got some housework done and Ponyplops had a saddle check. She kissed the saddle fitter on the cheek, so sweet.
Dentist today. Then more tidying. Boo hiss to BT who are currently providing us with 0.3 Meg of internet. On and off.0 -
I imagine a change of agent will help lots. Are the other houses in your village actually selling at similar prices? Everything here just seems a bit stagnant. Mine was on for 3 months and you're right, it isn't worth dropping for the sake of it. If people see that it has been on for a while they will view it and make a cheeky offer, if you're not getting that then the buyers just aren't there.Mortgage Apr 18 £417,894 BTL Mar 18 £162,857

Houses in the village - some are selling at higher prices, some are not.
No rhyme or reason it seems.0
