Really sad to hear about the parent.
I had it a few months ago with music teaching, I almost stopped teaching altogether but then realised it was one parent and everyone else is happy / school is happy etc. etc.

Àre you watching new series of homeland? Forget work, have a relaxing Sunday with your family.
Hell yeah! We had to watch all the other series again to remind ourselves (dirty job et.c).
I am thrilled with the subtlety of the character development. No one is all good, or totally sympathetic. I thought it would crash without Mr Lewis, who very modestly said he liked watching it better without him in it!Really sad to hear about the parent.I had it a few months ago with music teaching, I almost stopped teaching altogether but then realised it was one parent and everyone else is happy / school is happy etc. etc.

I completely agree with this.I think most teachers put everything we can into providing our pupils with an education best suited to the pupils' needs.

Sorry to hear about the parent. If it left you shook up, it's clearly a problem with them, not you. Try to remember all the lovely things that parents, kids and others have said, you are ace.
I have moments - days - like this too as I work closely with parents and some of them can be difficult to interact with, and due to mental illness or not, that is still how they feel. I have cards and pics on my desk from other children/parents, and my own kids. I also try to have a sense of humour about it if I can!

Thanks both.
You are quite right of course. Many of the other parents of that class were very positive.
Including the girl who was worried I would tell her Mum when I asked for an equation to get moles from volume and concentration went "E=mc2"!!0 -
Well, the equation is all Greek to me, but if it cheered you up! Hope this week is a fresh start. No one should make any dents in your weekend.Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
