What are your plans for 2018?
2018, eh? Not sure! I don't seem to be someone who can handle multiple plans! And it may all go squiffy, with redundancy on the cards for dh... 2016 is (should be) about looking at our savings and getting better returns on them. FIRE will only happen with planning, plotting and scheming...
I think I need to read Edinburger's diary from the start.
And go back over some of MMM's posts.
And do something other than just read about things to do...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
So after paying out a load of money to keep our cars on the road, one of them died and so we had to replace it.
This was not planned for and we are now on EXTREME frugality for the next hundred years.
We took our house off the market and will go on with Tepilo in Feb we think.
The high street agents were not cutting it.
The plan which is fairly humble, is to get to payday without getting too far into the overdraft. Oof!0 -
That's such a pain SHS!
How is the new school?
I hope you manage to get some rest this weekend and feel better soon,

New school is mind boggling!
I am sooo depressed. A permanent job has just come up in my local school for September. There is NO WAY I can apply having just started in this job.
Trying to find the positives but can't!0 -
Mouseprice has us at 395, Zoopla at 405, Tepilo at 435.
We had four viewings priced at 410 and NONE priced at 395.0 -
The job thing is frustrating. But I don't see why you can't apply. Remember that if they wanted to get rid of you, they wouldn't think twice. You don't owe them anything and they can't sack you for applying for another job. If it is what you really want you shouldn't let it pass....
But again, you know what is best for you...
Hope you are feeling better soon. I would like to know how Tepilo operate so I would be grateful if you would be my Guinea pig! I have always been a Sarah Beeny fan.Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Signing up to be your piggle!
I guess the fear is that I don't get it and then the new school hate me for trying to leave.
This is the school I interviewed last summer who were unable/unwilling to turn a temp into a perm contract.0 -
Is it a big difference in commute times? Could you explain to your current school that you are only applying because it would be more convenient for family life etc?"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes.
