Hi Just found a pretty clever scam on Ebay - high value items are listed at 0.99 and then re-directed within a second to a copy-cat site Here is the original listing: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sony-KD-65X9005A-65-3D-1080p-HD-LED-LCD-Internet-TV-/261999481142 Very hard to report as the re-direct is so fast (I had to install noscript to block the re-direct code This is a new one on me!

Forgive me if I don't want to click on the link.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0

would be interesting to know how long eBay take to end these listings, after they are reported. I won't look myself just in case there's some other nasty code on the page.0

Yeah, that's fair enough
The re-directs go to a website call bulkbuyuk.com but is an Ebay clone - it wants you to re-enter login details again naturally, so probably will harvest loads of ID's and passwords.
About the only way to stop the re-direct is to install 'noscript' from what I can see, so it's a cross site hack.0 -
One way I can think of reporting it for a quick response is to send the link to spoof @ ebay.com ? I think I have that right anyway.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Here is a screenshot of the re-direct scam website - quite a cunning scam as the re-direct is almost instant.0

Has been taken off now. I am surprised that Ebay can not automatically detect redirect things such as this.0 -

You'd think so.. I reported the original listing and it went within an hour, but I can see this sort of attack all over Ebay today from various IDs. I can't spend all day reporting these - Ebay should be more pro-active in killing the listings at source.

Once they realise they might be losing revenue they'll be on it like a rash0 -

Another thought, is that it must be possible for eBay to run a search for the specific "redirect" code in their listings and eliminate the lot on the entire site in one hit..0
