Debt-free by Christmas, CrazyCatLady? What a fab goal! It will be a great present to yourself if you can do it! Sounds like you're on the final push now, & believe me, there's nothing LIKE the feeling when that debt-free moment finally happens!

I hope so - I have to admit to having suddenly found my motivation again. I was starting to get a bit lax with finances but the past couple of months have pulled me back into line.

Crazy Cat Lady - How is puss now? Have you been able to book in the operation now you have the credit card?
Yes - she's going in, with my fingers firmly crossed that £1000 is the worst case scenario, on Friday this week.

FVD - Really sorry your son is having such a difficult time of things. I agree with the doctor though. Again with the cheesy sayings, but its like on a plane, when they say put your own oxygen mask on first. You have to sometimes do things that feel counter intuitive to protect both of you. You still sound remarkably positive all things considered.

Thanks, Bob, but I'm really not, the person I turned to when I had my meltdown on Saturday was him.

The other woman took an overdose and has contacted me on facebook (in one of my more insane moments I signed up to track down her husband :o ) from her hospital bed so I've spent a lot of time talking to her and she has answered all the questions that he wouldn't. He had sent her pictures and videos of me and apparently they are 'internet' married and have a certificate to prove it :rotfl: She had just taken out a $20,000 loan to come over here to set up home with him, had been looking at flats online and had set up an Amazon wish list to furnish it when he told her to eff off and that he loved and wanted to be with me. Beggars belief really. She had told her family and has lost everything, I think she's more of a victim than me.

Tonight I rang him as he'd sent me a couple of emails that I couldn't open and the phone answered of it's own accord without him knowing and I was privy to a conversation he was having with his son which went along the lines of 'Oh, yes, I'd have always got back with your mum, FatVonD was only ever a substitute'.

It would seem he wants to get back with any of his ex wives, it doesn't matter which one :rotfl:

I am kicking myself for being weak and vulnerable on Saturday and he is now threatening to tell my son, it will destroy him.

What a complicated and no doubt painful situation. Do you feel surprised it's gone this way with your husband or were there signs of things being rocky along the way?

I don't think it's that shocking that you turned to him when the other person you are closest to wasn't available emotionally.

I do think your husbands behaviour and attitudes strange and wonder whether he is going through some kind of breakdown. I'm afraid whilst sorry for the other woman going through all of that, I can't feel sorry for her when she knew she was breaking up a marriage and a home.

Hope today will be a better one.
