In this instance if it's that important why dont you just call nationwide and ask the question.

Because Nationwide was just an example, I was trying to see if there is an industry-wide list. And while calling Nationwide might give me the answer, it wouldn't help anyone else.

some people seem to be willfully misunderstanding and continually posting links and information that simply repeat what I said in my OP without adding to it. If you don't know the answer to the question then there's really not much value in posting on the thread. Saying something "may" help when it obviously doesn't is a waste of everyone's time.

I have noticed this a lot on this forum.

I'll do that, I'll put it at the start of the first post, and if other people add further posts about other banks I'll update the list.

Nationwide have just told me that they have no daily limit.

I think LBG is £25K per day max. At least Halifax is - see FAQ tab on http://www.halifax.co.uk/onlinebankinghelp/fasterpayments.asp

I wonder if that is because they are a building society, rather than a bank, and therefore accustomed to customers (members?) needing to transfer large sums out to, say, buy a house?

YBS is £100K, but next day as they use NatWest collection accounts (I think still?).

If you want to transfer more than £100K they say they'll split it into multiple transactions...and don't mention a maximum, ie they'll transfer the lot next day.
