AOL overcharging Broadband customers

I have been looking to save money on my phone and broadband deals. At present I pay £24.99 to AOL for Gold broadband and Talk Talk £25.49 for an all inclusinve package. I am unable to get Talk Talk or Tiscali Broadband and phone bundles as they are not available in my area. So I looked on AOL and found that they do a Broadband Silver deal for £14.99 for the same speed ( 2mbps ) as the Gold package. So I called up and was offered Silver, a free router and free evening and weekend calls for £14.99 per month. When I said I did not want the wireless router( because I already have 1 ) he offered me free anytime calls for 6 months with £7.49 charge for the calls thereafter. I also have to pay BT £10.50 per month for my line. So from paying £50.45 per month I will be paying £25.49 for the next 6 months with £32.98 therafter.
A good result from 1 free phone call ( 0800 number!! )
However he also told me that Silver customers have been getting the same deal as Gold customers for £10.00 less since February 2007!! When I asked why AOL had not dropped my monthly charge he could not answer. So I am writing to AOL to ask for my £70.00 back.
Hope this tip helps someone else.
