What can I do with my Sky sub which I don't need?

Options
Hi,

I've subscribed to Sky Original bundle (£20), but I don't really need it as I don't watch Sky and have a Freeview PVR.

Does anyone know where would be the best place to sell it, or what else to do with it? I have a full 12 months remaining.

Thanks

would that work online (laptop), or via a youview box?

Would love to borrow it, just for tonight.. (final episode of True Detective, on Sky Atlantic!)

Why did you subscribe to it if you don't need it?

You can't sell a subscription. The feed comes from your dish into your Sky box and is encrypted via your Sky card.

Someone could possibly use your Sky User ID details to connect to Sky Go and watch on a laptop or tablet but I certainly wouldn't be paying you £20pm to do that.

You could sell it but who would buy it?
Someone who Sky wouldn't sell a subscription to such as someone without an eligible address, i.e. overseas.

It would need a lot of trust on the person buying it.

How to sell a Sky subscription.

Sell the card to someone who trusts you enough for you to pay Sky the subscription costs every month.

As long as Sky get their money every month they couldn't care less.

I do that for a friend who moved to Spain using an address that is not mine and another bank account I have.

Call and cancel. You get a cooling off period I believe.
