Wrong D.O.B on airline ticket?

Booked a group holiday for a bunch of friends and after recently checking the booking we realised one of the passengers DOB was out by a month (04 instead of 05)
Booked through "Cheapo Air" and they want a bloody £160 for each airline to change the DOB!!!! thats obscene
Looking on the internet people have said DOB isn't on the ticket and it doesn't matter?
Is this the case? We are all students and can't afford to pay another £320
Flying with easyjet and ryanair if thats any use and its all within Europe

Do you mean boarding passes?
If so; Easy jet does not have DOB on it just your name and passport number.
Whether, if you entered a wrong DOB on the holiday booking form, and this is different to DOB on passport I cannot comment.0 -
Indeed. It is check-in that is important. You do that yourself on the Easyjet and Ryanair websites.0

When you Check In you will need to enter passport details. This includes your D.O.B.
I made an error where I keyed in wrong surname! They were going to charge me £160 but after some discussin they decided to only charge me £10.
Good luck and enjoy your hols.January Grocery 11/3740 -
Sounds like the API information rather than actual booking information.
Have you tried to log in to your booking on the airlines web sites under Manage Your Booking and simply update the passenger information yourself?0 -
With Easyjet, if you have not yet checked in, it's very easy to amend your API (advance passenger information) by opening your booking on the website, clicking on "boarding pass and check-in" then 'edit' next to your name. After checking in, the 'edit' is replaced by 'print boarding pass'.
It is probably a similar situation with Ryanair. But I don't know if you can bring up your booking on the website in the normal way if you booked with such as CheapOair, which of course is a bad move at the best of times for booking an Easyjet or Ryanair flight.Evolution, not revolution0
