Enter 100's but never win???!

Options
Anyone else enter hundreds to thousands of comps but never seem to win? Only thing i've ever won is a tablet case and that was back in march-april. I started comping when I joined here. I do think a lot of it is down to if you're a "lucky" person, which I'm not, obviously :p I'm not toooooo bothered because it's more of a hobby than anything, but still, would be nice to get something back from all the effort I put in. Big thanks to all that post the comps, couldn't do it without you!

  • No it must only be you.
  • Try the competitions with multiple prizes or postal entries.
If there is a task to do even better as they get lower entries.

As an example this month I have won a case of wine from a McGuigan competition. Fifty prizes in all so a better chance of winning.

I also enter lots of local comps as they get fewer entries.
  • Most people that win all the time. Waste hours of their time entering to win worthless crap.... So yes they are winning but what they are winning is just junk. So basically sounds better than it is when they say they won x amount this month .. Just depends if you value your time more than cheap toot! It will take you longer to win if you only enter for valuable things.

I also enter HUNDREDS. I did all the ones on the last day of the month I wanted, plus I've been doing lots each day. I'm just not winning! Last thing I won was nearly two months ago (okay, it was a grand!) but that was from a comp on a radio station I listen to (had the length of a song to text in), not from the MSE boards or anything. Wins haven't been great this year I don't think.

2024 wins: *must start comping again!*
  • Same here don't do hundreds every month but certainly 10-20 per day - these days only for things I would like to win - so books and dvd's that I used to get fairly often don't get sent to meanymore.

Now if I could just win that holiday, cash prize or that car I would be happy
and that is what keeps me going - the chance that one day I will win them.
  • Well I'm glad it's not just me! Minus the few that are winning who have commented ;)

Yeah I tend to only enter competitions that are worth entering, things that if I did won I actually wanted or would make a good present for someone close. I also enter mostly on twitter and the ones that are off this forum, probably doesn't help that I don't search else where but I also don't want to dupe myself :) I like to think I'll get a "big" win soon, that's what keeps me going anyway...

I enter/win quite a lot & none of it is 'junk' or
    worthless crap :)
each prize is found a good home for with family/friends/relatives with children etc,
donations to charities if it's a prize
we've had before ie: dvds/books which all help
    support them,
have also won high value prizes/big money prizes along
with the small prizes & value each prize won as the same
& value each poster who posts them up for us whether it's a small or big prize,
the only 'tat' in name i've won was actually a beautiful necklace
    from www.tattydevine.com  :D
eta.. & that was worth over £150.
please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly. k2u58ioz4c8e.png

I do about 1000 comps a day and win a handful of times a month.

Instead of donating a prize to charity because you don't want/need it, why not let those who want it win it?

obviously because at any one time the same prize is on offer from lots of different comps, if firefly wants the dvd or whatever she enters all available comps, she then may be lucky enough to win the same dvd more than once, she won't be entering to win the dvd if she has already won it.

to peanutbutter..... try doing the mag dailys 25 each for most mags I seem to be lucky with them but I do them EVERY day so guess the more times I enter the same comp I stand a better chance,
    good luck
