M&S voucher: how to get the most out of it?

I got a £100 M&S voucher, but don't usually shop with them.
Any advice on how to get the best out of it? Of course I would love to exchange it for cash, but I think selling it on ebay would incur about 20% charges.
I wouldn't mind buying a new suit for work.
On the other hand, I know their prices are quite high, even when they have sales.
But when do they have sales? Anyone knows best times to shop with them?
Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

I would sign up to their mailing list - they quite often have online only, very short sales. There was a 12 hour one from 8pm last night to 8am this morning with 30% of certain items. 20% off everything happens often.
