PERKY...I would ring up and they will know which vouchers you are waiting for then they will send a reminder email as a nudge, then you will get them through.i wouldnt wait and hope, as they might stop the vouchers sooner if they think ppl are not bothered, etc.
I have only had a quick catchup so apologies for missing stuff.i read about someposters having a hard time and i just wanted to send positive prayers.
also have tried to get a drs app today but more chance of plaiting fog so will be groundhog day again tomorrow.its dh birthday tomorrow, another day older and deeper in debt:rotfl: doesnt seem 2 mins since we first met, had our first date and he was sick:rotfl:that was where my masocistic tendencies first surfaced, along with my ocd to see things through to the bitter end or the telegram from her madge:D
has been hot and sunny today but muggy, but im not complaining.unlike me, that :rotfl:
hope everyones glass is half full.:As
take care all.x
ilgd and salwag.
Have you tried compromising and seeing maybe a different doc to your normal one? Asking if they do evening appointments? I had gotten quite frustrated with my GP surgery until recently. It seems that all the regular docs left in a short space of time and are replaced with an ever changing string of new GPs.
I've had quite a few evening appointments lately and the place is dead  I'm also realising that the days of being able to see the same Doc all the time are rapidly leaving us.
I live in a town with a large elderly population (not saying you are elderly ) but quite a few times recently I have listened to arguments with the receptionist because they can't see their 'usual' Doc without a very long wait.
I've rarely seen the same doc twice lately but at the end of the day have not suffered for it other than maybe repeating myself more often than I'd have liked.0 -
vanilla_twist wrote: »FC seen your news. Amazing how things get diagnosed by blood tests for other things. Dads story was the same.
You know everyone is here for you whatever you need.
LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH ( and don't tell the boys. I think ladies problems is the best little white lie or the Internet will be hot and you will have 2 trainee medics on your hands).
Take things easy and eat some good food.
Better an early diagnosis as more scope for management.
Love you always girl:)

My thoughts exactly. I won't deny I had a very private tantrum on the beach tonightif the man who I passed on the way back to the car with my mascara strewn face is reading.........I'm sorry for scaring you
I just hope he's not at home now telling his wife he saw Gene Simmons on the beach  :rotfl:
I also agree about the kids. There's nothing going on that will affect them for now so why give them a new special interest:rotfl: besides I have experienced DS2 very clinical approach to things and I'm just not ready to hear his opinions on my chances  I have told DD and she was calm once I explained it properly. She's 17 and I can't treat her like a child.
I do feel lucky. Not to have it obviously  but to be told that most people don't even know they have until they have very bad things wrong elsewhere in their body. At least I can hit the ground running
And there's always my visits to the clinic where I look about 12 compared to the other customers:rotfl:

Just popped in look for fc, and there she is :j
Just read your post and sounds to me that someone up on high is watching over you. They made the person filling in the form make that mistake.
In a way I feel angry  , no not at you fc but at all the carp that has been dropped on you from a great height. Such a sweet helpful lady, a loving mother. It just doesn't seem fair at all, hence my anger.
BUT on the good side nothing to worry about for now, get the school uniforms, label them. Get school shoes and a tin of Tuxan Polish, covers scratches and scrapes a treat. Makes shoes look new again.
It comes in various colours so look out for it and give it a try if your kids kick or scrape the ie shoes.
Must get off to bed, had first lot of meds, then another drink if Pimms Blackberry and Elderflower. It is delicious, my head not sure what to think tbh :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Granddaughters had a bbq birthday party yesterday, had a great time. Spent all day in swimming pool. Had to drive a round trip of approx 50 miles and boy do I know it. I ache from head to toe, joints and muscles.
And I'm the one who is driving to WA5 on the 22nd, total journey 220 approx. I know I can't do it in one so need to have a stop off, maybe two. Could go sight seeing on the way.
Night for now, catch you tomorrow xThere's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -

Don't be angry, I'm notMost of what happens in life is shaped by people's decisions. Some things aren't and would have happened anyway.
Get you driving 50 miles  that is progress lady! A few weeks ago you were talking about hobbling to the end of the street and back! I think you've made quite a remarkable recovery.
You've had a very sensible approach to your recovery and have recognised your own limits. That will get you on your future journeys :A0 -
Thanks for your time, there is no way I am going to get her to change it this late in the day she goes first thing tomorrow. And I am being told not to worry by OH too.
I have printed out the sheets I put link to so hopefully she will follow that if it is not an absolute emergency which as you say there seems to be contingency for.
Just to make sure she carries a copy with her at all times now. I am really nervous about this trip as she is travelling alone and her boyfriend is meeting her over there. Trials of being a parent.
TS 99.9% of the time she'll have no worries so don't get yourself in a tizz over it. She has insurance & now is aware that she MUST get someone to ring insurance company - the hospitals in US normally do this as a matter of course.
Just next time it would be best to cover ALL hospitals - the private ones in US are normally pretty plush! Pretty expensive too unfortunately & many things aren't covered by Medicare or is it Medicaid? there either - says she who paid hubby's remaining 80K thankfully by then reduced down to 20Kish for his stent:eek:. Still, he was worth it!0 -
FC - a positive mental attitude is often more important than drugs. If the doc hadn't ticked the wrong box you'd have been going around for many years with no idea. Just get yourself into the right mindset & don't let it get you down. Your body can heal itself if you let it.0

But would he have been worth the 80k??:rotfl:
I'm joking obviously. It's a subject that has come up in my life recently after paying OH medical bills I get ill and can't do the same for myself  you couldn't make that up! Although to be fair I'm not worried that I'm missing out on anything now that I'd otherwise get elsewhere.
I have medical insurance but I feel using it to be monitored might be a waste of it? I've not been in a place to look into it today but I will tomorrow. it needs proper attention to figure out what's best0 -
Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0

I'm off to bed. Thank you for all the hugs, the practical advice and the road traffic advice
I'm going to work in the morning and going shoe shopping in the afternoon. Cross everything for me because if the Clarks outlet can't help I'm looking at the best part of £100 in shoes/trainers _pale_ at full price. They have THE BEST measuring service though so I still have to go.0
