Rhos....re the results...did ds sit several different papers in the science exams, each paper or practical examination will be marked and graded separately (usually the module grade is shown in lower case) and then the exam is given an overall mark (usually upper case)

hope that makes sense but if you need any further guidance....

Well done to him for sitting early....and if he wants to retake next year at least he knows what type of thing to expect, exams can be daunting but once you know the format and whats expected sometimes the extra year working on the subject will make it feel easier for him next year.

    thanks :A that helped x

it seems then overall he got A s in all the sciences but his exam result was A* for biology, he was hoping for overall A* he also got C in welsh but that was the highest he could get as he did the lower exam and will do the higher this year, and a C in english he was hoping for a B but will resit that,
he also got a distinction * in his computer exam.
I am very proud mum :D wish he was as happy,

Does anyone use their Amex card with paypal. I seem to remember reading years ago that there was a problem with it but is it OK now?

Virtual hugs - at least he hung on as long as he could - your mum is not on her own is she?

I'm sad I didn't get to say goodbye as he was fast asleep when I went to see them the day we left, and I didn't want to disturb him. Spoke to mum on the phone as soon as we docked earlier. Had no contact for a couple of days as no signal, so I feel bad about that too. His family there when I phoned, so phoned my DH and both my boys. Both DS on their way to see her now, and DH when he finishes work.

I just took a pic of all the codes on my iPad. Actually I'm in there now and have had my first one :) bit of an issue as to whether you get a stamp for it. The girl said I ll do it this time but will check. So could do with some proof if we are entitled to a stamp lol. You get one with 02 so why not with nectar.

I really must look into these Amex cards that give so much of certain shops . Mhoc what is yours called please ?

I've looked at the rules and I cant see anything about the loyalty stamp - not sure if I would be brave enough to ask for it esp in my nearest as the staff are a bit brusque.

I've got a Sainsburys Amex card which I don't pay a fee for. I think mine is fee free because I've had it a long while. Every so often there is a member offer eg spend £10 in nero get £5 back, £10 in the post office and get £5 back onto your card - they are very random though and don't seem related to your spending.
I just use mine in Sainsburys and their partners as I get extra points so the bill only varies between £10 and £120 a month depending if we get petrol when we have a petrol coupon.

Just looking for a suitable link that wont offend red fox - I found a good page but it says you have to spend £2000 in the first 3 months to get 21,000 bonus nectar points
(our Barclaycard you had to only spend £750 x 2 in the first 3 months and that was a challenge in itself and we only did it because of dentist and cattery bills, coal and the washing machine needing replacing)

so then I found a clean link for Sainsburys amex but its the same offer - spend £2000 in the first 3 months to get the bonus nectar points, first year is free but then you need to cancel as its £25 a year afterwards.

You went to see him before you left sweetheart so you did say goodbye in a way. Your mum wanted you to go on the cruise so she will understand. She would also know that contact would be difficult. Your boys and hubby will comfort her until you get there. I am so very sorry for your loss x

    Hi
I was also showing as eligible on my Amazon account so I also bought £40 of gift cards from Amazon, following Martin's tip.

This was the day before yesterday, and although I received the gift cards, I haven't received the free £10 code. It is supposed to arrive within 24 hours.

(I've checked my spam mail, and also my online Amazon account. Nothing.)

Is anyone else having this problem?

I did the Amazon extra £10 about a month ago. Checked email & spam etc. and hadn't got any £10 code. Went to help on Amazon & it's extremely easy to get them to call you after you find transaction disputed. They call immediately & it was sorted with no problem whatsoever. Saw it then in my account a minute later. Why aren't all companies as efficient?
