Oh & Vicar & family are up here, looking after my older sister's house whilst she & her family are holidaying in their house in France - so have to think of ways to entertain them:o Already sister that was here, can't understand why I can't take tomorrow off work to help her entertain them....

Whatever happens cows still have to be milked, milk still has to be collected by the tankards within a set time limit otherwise it just gets wasted
yes, but as long as they are willing to sell it for a low price, it will be bought for a low price. If they really want change, they should just pour it down the drain until they get what they say is a fair price.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Sorry no idea ...........:eek::eek::eek: Thanks Tweets - been to Bingo (successful afternoon too) just got in & had totally forgotten. Now my dippy sister has just turned upHere in Poor Town - we are lucky to have a Red Cross £1 Shop. This has loads of new stuff donated from places like Next & Primark
On the other hand we also have a normal Red Cross Charity Shop - the manager there thinks Next is the 'label' to wear. So anything that has a Next label she puts a high price ticket on...
Yet a Jaeger or Liberty label she hasn't a clue;)
Hope you won at bingo0 -
Thank you for thinking of me & remembering, Sunshinemummy:A I'm staying over with dm so she is not on her own when she wakes up tomorrow.
I have foolishly said I would read about 'dads life' but there are 120 - 150 people expected so getting very nervous :eek:0 -

I am from a farming family, albeit not Dairy Farmers and can understand their point of view. They are working hard for a product that they are underpaid for (and many have gone out of business because of it). All they are asking for is a fair price, but prices are dictated by the large Supermarkets principally.
Many have actually poured it away as you suggest but obviously they still have costs, expenses and wages to pay so have to accept low prices to keep going, mostly subsidised by other farming activities.
Would any of us refuse to take our wages because we thought that we are worth more? That's what pouring milk away would be like.

Dont get me wrong, I am not saying that they dont deserve to earn a wage, far from it, I am just saying I dont think the action they are doing at the moment is effective.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Josie, you will be fine. Pleased you are looking after you mum x.
I used to get nervous when public speaking, but I have to do it regularly for work. I find that I need 'own' the space, and just talk to one person (at the back of the room) and then I am fine.
Remember to talk slowly and breath. xxx
Don't forget the tissues in your bag x
