  • I've got another new kitten :)

We had him off a different farm and he had been abandoned by his mam. He fits on the palm off my hand and is about 10 weeks old, a 3rd the size of my other kitten of the same age.
I have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammar :)

Are there any welshies here that remember welsh cakes ?
my mum (nan) use to make them for me and cook them on a piece of iron my dad made for her on top of her cooker ring
they were round and flat and had sultanas in them
ive tried a few recipies but they just dont taste the same as the ones mum made

I come from South Wales, I remember by gran making them. No recipe sorry, don't think she ever shared recipes with my mother. Certainly don't remember mum making them though you can buy them still in Welsh bakeries.

Dippydoo that was a terrible thing to do to your husband ....nasty people ...did his sister not offer him some of hers ?

I can't decide whether the sibling that gets left all the money should share in defiance of the late parents wishes. I suspect it's hard for the favoured one to see easily that they were favoured only because of prejudice.

The big iron is called a bakestone. We have a really old one. You have oil and season it
