Where do you stay when you go the night before ? We've never done a proper cruise before, only river cruises, but some of the offers look good. Any tips as to good companies to look at would be much appreciated - we don't want anything too fancy, just smart casual stuff preferably on a small/medium size ship and a drinks package.
I would say look out for last minute bargains on Cunard as they
do some excellent priced fly to some place to join ship
Or flight home from ship with stop over hotels for 3 or 4 nights
for £350 my friend got a week on ship full board all non alcoholic drinks free
and 150 dollars of on board credit ...with 3 night stay in a hotel in New York
They provided transfer from ship to hotel but you have to pay
your own taxi to the airport for your flight home ...this was
done in January last year0 -

That is lovely but must have left you in a panic!!
If it is their 59th it is worth bearing in mind that you can get a card sent from the Queen for their diamond, we did it for the in-laws and they were absolutely delighted

If you dont have dogs, I would say the Miami is the way forward. There is very little difference in size, and its a lot easier to empty as you can use the drain plug if you need too. If you have dogs, go for the vegas as it has a leatherette cover over the inflatable part. Also order a chemical pack as you will need it. It might be worth waiting as Asda/argos sometimes have them on special about 1/2 times a year I believe.
