  • Good morning!
We have decided to buy a lay z spa anyway. DM could I ask would you still buy the Vegas rather than the Miami? I think it was the Miami you said you had. I notice Amazon have now increased the price to £420!!

I saw one or two going from south of france I think it was. I dont mind S/ton though, only about 6 hours to get there, and the train isnt a bad way to travel. I was looking at a river cruise next year that was coach to the start point...but think I will stick with heading south on the train. Going down to london the night before this time, which I dont usually do, but fancied a more relaxed morning.

Where do you stay when you go the night before ? We've never done a proper cruise before, only river cruises, but some of the offers look good. Any tips as to good companies to look at would be much appreciated - we don't want anything too fancy, just smart casual stuff preferably on a small/medium size ship and a drinks package.

Then on to cinema with DD to see Paper Towns courtesy of the Meercats. Nice film :)

Did you use meercats with Tic Tacs? It supposedly works (according to HUKD) but i've never been on a qualifying day to try it out

    Good morning
  • Good morning all, very cloudy here, and the clouds are scudding along quite rapidly!

Have to try to cycle into the local town today, will have to dodge the showers though I think!

If you dont have dogs, I would say the Miami is the way forward. There is very little difference in size, and its a lot easier to empty as you can use the drain plug if you need too. If you have dogs, go for the vegas as it has a leatherette cover over the inflatable part. Also order a chemical pack as you will need it. It might be worth waiting as Asda/argos sometimes have them on special about 1/2 times a year I believe.

Im staying in London this time, only because I have a free night in a very posh hotel, but there are lots of nice clean hotels in S/ton, I would just search on tivago or somewhere for the best value.
I have mainly cruised P&O, they dont do drinks packages, but the drinks are the cheapest out of most of the lines, and are only really town centre pub prices. Also, they allow you to take your own drink on, so if you have a balcony you can enjoy a few drinks in an evening if you wish, and it saves a fortune.

Actually there is no 'good' in this morning's weather - absolutely tipping down here :o

    Happy Holidays FC ♥

Fourp in South Wales, returning today so I'm meeting him ½ way in Shrewsbury.... a bit of QVC Outlet therapy for me ;);)

I bought Birkenstocks EVA Arizona sandals there last time & are way more comfortable than Crocs to wear in wet weather :rotfl: not hot sunny August weather :rotfl:

Cheapish on net are £25 & I paid £12 so I'll be rummaging through the boxes in QVC trying to find my size :o
