Lots of aspects of cruising drive me bats but the good bits far out way the bad.
I am still looking for a stop gap cruise sometime this autumn with no success - when I find something that looks promising the ports are too similar to what we have already booked, it's the same ship as we have booked, the dates are too close together - often all three and even worse, still over priced. Nobody seems to have included drinks packages although these can be a mixed blessing.
A couple of times we have booked last minute week long cruises at the back end if September or into October - just up and down the coast if France and Spain and these were perfect - can't seem to find anything similar.
OH is not particularly bothered but I expect that if I could find one that was suitable he would be just as mad keen“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Yes, I have already visited a few of the ports on my next cruise, and already been on the ship. I wanted to try the new P&O ship, but there was nothing decent that I was able to go on. But that said, still really looking forward to it, as I love being on the ship as much as the ports of call.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Hiya YorkieTrevv, I am in East Anglia too - well the edge of the Fens, just outside of Wisbech, so I think we have you surrounded :rotfl:
Talking of first jobs, I got Saturday job in Woolworths when I was 14. I was on haberdashery counter, selling sewing/knitting stuff plus stockings and tights ....... and sanitary towels  And my best memory of my 18 months or so there? the new ship you pay extra for cabins with sofas - and its not a fixed rate extra - annoying. Also a lot more expensive than other ships doing similar routes“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Off to wash my hair, need to get rid of some Tressume that I found at the back of the glory hole  Remember, from THE big Mr A glitch. Found 4 poos and 4 cons :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I was sorting the garage at the weekend and at the back of my stash area I found 22 S&G deos, 6 A Economy Hair Gel, 12 A Economy Conditioner and 8 Bombay Potatoes! Brings back happy memories of the early days, and the big A Glitch that started it all for many of us:beer:
Welcome to all the newbies, seem to be getting well established and probably have as many posts as me already!

39 days for me, just checked on the Royal Carribean website:T
Know what you mean about the same ship, we went on a great one last year, Freedom of the Seas but would have liked a different one this time. Did Western Caribbean last year so doing the Eastern this time (or the other way round!) same ship, but that's no problem. Was first cruise for us so we learnt a lot and really enjoyed it
Looking forward to it, and then on to NY for 4 days. Bring it on!

Morning All!
Woken before 6am by text from DD asking to be collected from train station at 6.40am. Usually awake, but last night was the first propper nights sleep in what feels like years!!
May be the result of the spa day we had on Monday, although, Monday nights sleep was rubbish. Full of intrusive thoughts and wakefulness,:(
Anyway, thanks to everyones advice on here about Nectar and Sainsbury coupons.......Sains shop yesterday was £13 from £40 using 2 x £6 wys £40, £10 BM . free bottle of wine and various other coupons. SA was sooooo impressed. Especially when I got £6 BM back. :rotfl: (Didn;t know about price change day:o). Also, stopped at petrol station shop for Tic Tacs to get 200 points!
Then on to cinema with DD to see Paper Towns courtesy of the Meercats. Nice film
Off to get dressed and do Mum Taxi service :A
