Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Good morning

I am back again trying to make my way through the maze of lingo here :)

Final word on the roadkill thing. There is a challenge on DFW which is called Roadkill Rebels I didn't start that one. Apparently it's common parlance on MSE to term any street money finds as roadkill. There you go a new thing every day :) One of the main threads I chat on 'what small DF things' reveals that I seem to find a lot of it in London. Some of the others there say they can't find a penny in other parts of the country.
If I find it I don't bother with these sealed pot challenges I just use it up as I go at self service machines. It seems counter intuitive to me to save money up at home where it earns you nothing. But that's me :)

Anyway. I'm going to dip my toe in by checking out the pizza offer mentioned and see where it leads me.

I don't think I've ever spotted a real glitch yet. The only thing that comes to mind is one xmas eve the C0 0p has bottles of Verve Cliqiot champagne for £13 each. I still kick myself for only buying 2 but it was back in the days of student finances. Considering it normally retails around £40 I can't see that being right...

    Have a good weekend everyone.

Is my champion bird spotter WMC around?

Spotted a pretty little thing tonight. Black. About the size of a thrush but slimmer, sleeker with a smaller head. Bright red beak and a little white squiggle marking on its lower body. Seen it two days in a row in exactly the same place. Any ideas what it is?

Also, the discussion we had the other day about pheasants dicing with death near the side of the road......well today.....there was a mama pheasant with her little brood messing about near the side of the road. Acres of fields either side of the road as far as the eye could see....and yet mama brings them to the road
It sounds a bit like a redbilled buffalo weaver but it's well off track, you are in the UK aren't you?

Thank you Di that's very close but it's not it. I live in Durham and I've seen this bird twice beside the road down our back lane which is all fields. I'll post a picture of the buffalo weaver and explain the differences.
My bird had a thinner redder beak, a smaller rounded head and is black. Somehow taller and thinner too. But it does have these white markings. Can someone help?

So this is the buffalo weaver......anyone any ideas of my bird...
