Sound a bit thick I know, but what is an iron transfusion? I presume they'd have to get me to hospital for it?

    Hi all,
Ls, when I was in hospital I had very low iron levels after a operation. I had iron, which i was told was pure iron that was attached to the drip that I already had in the back of my hand, it was a brownish liquid in a small bag, like his they give you blood but was iron. Two bags I think I had and felt better.

Hope the tablets do the trick for you and you feel better soon.

My vouchers still aren't back in my account from my cancelled order on weds when I was too poorly to collect.

    Guess they are gone forever.

It would also be super nice if A's would stop putting a hold on the money for the order that I cancelled!
  • It's weird, all this talk of iron. When my OH had the muscle flap done on his ankle they measured his iron levels and it was about 18 or so, it was too high, for the operation he had to get it below 10 (no-one previously told us that) so the op was cancelled and he had to have several pints of blood taken to get it down! The annoying thing was they couldn't use the blood and had to dispose of it
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

    I've drawn the short straw.

500points once one of my items sells in the Oxfam tag scheme:o

6 visits to a local to get 200 points. Not worth the petrol

Also I can get £2.50 worth of goods in Argos when I use 500 points.......eh?

I've not had the Oxfam one, which is a shame since that's where I take stuff and I tag the bag too. I like the OP's idea of buying 1 banana in six transactions for the 200 bonus points! I agree the Argos one was rubbish. I had one last weekend (I think it was) where if I bought something with points I got double their worth in points back. I needed something anyway so did that. It will be interesting to see if the points appear.
