    Hi,
Well I missed my pedicure and my meet with VT:(
Ive been stuck at the hospital waiting to get some info. The communication has been extremely poor on their part:eek: I've had to nag to find out the care package terms. Was told 'loads of help out there' but no clue as to how to access it, who to call, is D having any follow up, what meds he will be on, what transport has been arranged and when is the bed arriving. Apparently no bed is coming as he does not need a hospital bed, we need to provide a single divan. The commode and other kit we have to take home with us today, hospital transport won't carry it. Bloody good job we didn't come here on the bus !!!!!!
Eventually got the info we need, and an apologetic physio was really helpful. Spoke to a lovely social worker who seems to have loads of info, and told me to call her if we need any help or advice.
They still need to discuss D's case and we will get more info soon.
Off home soon for a rest :)

What happens if you need to return clothes to T's that you have doubled up to pay for. Invoice showing less than I actually paid for each item and if that's the refund amount I've lost out on my points. Tia xx

I returned some yesterday and you just get back what you paid for them, the reduced price!

I don't suppose you're anywhere near Devon? My uncle has just gone into a home and we're clearing his house at the moment so have a single bed going spare

So sorry you've had such a bad time with getting help and info. Unfortunately I've found that once they've got it into their heads you're being discharged, they're desperate for you to go and don't tell you half of what you need to know. Assuming it's relevant, can McMillan help?

You shouldn’t be discharged from hospital until:
    • You are medically fit (this can only be decided by the consultant or someone the consultant has said can make the decision on their behalf).
    • You have had an assessment to look at the support you need to be discharged safely.
    • You have been given a written care plan that sets out the support you’ll get to meet your assessed needs.
    • The support described in your care plan has been put in place and it’s safe for you to be discharged.

From personal experience - make sure you have the written care plan and do not let discharge go ahead until you do - the Social Worker should have done this already for you, they are not just there for advice - they are duty bound to assess, write the care plan and organise the provision within.

DM - worth doing, read the T&Cs. After the referral has gone through (they send an email to the referrer - make sure you use the identical email to then sign up) referred person can go through TCB or Q before then signing up ;). TCB and Q keep switching £70+ between the two - both referral and TCB possible for referred (or has worked in the past ).
