Second hand iPhone Insurance?

I have just taken out American Express 'gadget and personal possession insurance'. Cost is £12.99 a month but covers all items for people in the household, so it is covering 4 smart phones, 2 laptops, 3 iPads it would also cover designer handbags as well if I had any

Max 3 claims of between £50 and £1500 in a rolling year. Anything worth over £250 has to be registered with them, lady I dealt with said that they understood not everyone keeps receipts so would accept a photo of the item in the event of a claim - so sounds like it would work for you although may be an expensive option if it is just you in the household.
Although we do have proof of purchase for ours I have taken photos with the IMEI number showing as back up.
We have managed not to lose or damage phones for the last couple of years and I hadn't had specific insurance, but with 2 of my teens upgrading their iPhones recently a blanket policy for the entire family seemed best value.0
