Le sigh...
Currently with Natwest. They use a pin pad which looks like a calculator when you do payments and transfers online.
I'm getting to the stage now where I can't read the screen of the pin pad. I've spoke to Natwest who predictably told me to either come in and they'll sort the payment out for me (thankfully, today it was £40; so paid over the counter into friends account) or get someone else to do it for me. I live alone and I don't want to get into the situation where I'm having to rely on other people to do things like this for me. Or is it so wrong for me to want privacy?
Anyway, are there any banks with internet that people would recommend that are accessible to people with sight impairments? I do have some useful vision; but the contrast on the pin pad is a pain in the !!!! to read and the contrast is rather difficult to read too. Someone did suggest telephone banking; but I've hearing and speech difficulties too.

I'm with TSB and there's no pin pad needed and there wasn't when I was with Halifax either.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

Nationwide are the same - you set up a new payee online and you can do it on mobile banking once they are set up; they can set this up in branch for you if you would struggle as to log in online you need the pinSENTRY pad but only for internet based.
Mobile based is on a pin code of your choosing.0 -
Santander send a code to your mobile which you then key into the screen when setting up new payments - would you be able to read that?Signature removed for peace of mind0

I spoke to a few banks, including Nationwide. Nationwide told me that I can request a large print (or larger version) of their pin pad, which is all I need.
Halifax just use passwords / passcodes.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

You can get a bigger pin pad, I have a few patients who use the larger screen one with no difficulties0

I swapped from barclays to hsbc a while back as the access was better.
My husband has a tiny little credit card pin code machine..i explained my hands are't good and was given the VI one it is the size of a desk calculator and far easier to use for me but it also speaks the codes out for you. You can use ear phones but as i use at home i dont bother. It might eb worth a look..
athough i find their online screen a little jumbled and muddling (not as clear as barclays) so that might be an issue..
good luck finding one for you0 -

This is what they told me on their Facebook page. The lady I spoke to in branch was quite adamant nothing existed and told me to get someone else to sort it for me.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Contact them again - and ask for details of the larger pad - and mentioning that you are willing to take action under the equalities act.
Also - on a more general point - I believe there are phone apps available which can boost contrast from the camera - for low vision users.0 -
On the Facebook post they ask you to PM them your name and address and they'll send you a voice reader. Have you done this?0
