Metro Bank issue Mastercard retail, there is no issue with them, you can use it the same way as a Visa.

    They are contactless.

    It looks standard from YB.

Its just a Standard Debit MasterCard and its the full offline card (Meaning it can work even if the card can't contact the bank, I.e. trains and planes). It is also contactless.

Hi, I hold Current Account Direct/Plus and readycash account.

Both of my Direct/Plus account cards are contactless Debit Mastercard.

Readycash was Maestro card. Afew days ago I received a Debit Mastercard on my Readcash account. The letter attached said the card has been upgraded. Now this is card is not contactless but the 1st 6 digits are same as my contactless card.

If they have stopped issuing Maestro Card now then it is possible depending on credit score you may receive contactless or non-contactless card.

    Regards
    MS

    What's 'retail'?
How do you know it's not contactless?
What do you mean by 'like that'?
Why do you think it's 'rubbish'?

Unless your account is "Readycash", what I see on their website under 'Debit Card' is "Contactless Debitcard " only:

I think Mastercard debit cards appear as "Mastercard Retail" on receipts. My MB one did. They must be known as that.

How is anyone to know whether the card is contactless or not if there is no contactless symbol printed on it? Unless all Mastercard cards are contacless?

This is what a contactless YB debit card looks like. There is also another grey/gold type one but it has a contactless symbol if contactless.

Does yours look the same, it has a contactless symbol.

I refer to your post #2 in this thread, in which you posted the grey/gold one and said it is contactless.

There is no such thing as a retail MasterCard.
It will be a debit MasterCard

I said they (Metrobank) issue Mastercard which are contactless, and then showed a picture of a YB debit card. It did not have a contactless symbol.
