Just for comparison I just got a 12 month renewal for BB and TV,

Thanks Infinity 2 is about £20 more per month than Infinity 1 (which is currently £10pm) so I suppose you would have to add another £20 on top of the deal you mentioned in the last post?

But for new customers after Quidco Cashback and Sainsbury Voucher their actual monthly price would be equivalent to £25 per month, which is not as good as what retentions are offering.

Yes but line rental aside would bt retentions be able to get near the deal I posted above for new customers ?

Hi iandv your offer is better than I got when I called to cancel which was £44.34, plus it would mean starting a new18 month contract. I declined and will probably move unless they come back with a better deal, but I don't know if they do that.

Not a chance of getting the same deal for existing customers. BT retentions are a joke. They dont budge AND they want an 18 month commitment from existing customers. The deal for new customers is only 12 months. Its almost like they want people to leave. I tried 3 times to get a decent deal over the past few weeks. They wouldnt negotiate at all on the 18 months or the activation fee. The best they did was a £10 per month discount on the infinity but for only 6 months out of the 18 (and it still worked out more expensive than the alternatives for that 6 months).

I moved to sky in the end (was activated Wednesday). 12 month min contract and about £12 per month cheaper than BT for the whole 12 months. Only signed up to the 'Up to 38 meg' service but currently getting 47 download on the wired PCs in the house. The Sky hub is pants though. That signal drops to 9 meg via wifi only 2 metres from the hub.
