Did anyone sign up to the £1.95p/m broadband deal with Direct Save Telecom around this time last year?
I did and I paid my line rental in advance using the 12 month line rental saver option. When I did this I was told that when this expired I could then take out the 12 month line rental saver for the next 12 months as the broadband deal was for 24 months
I called today to take out the new line rental to be told they no longer offer the line rental deal to existing broadband customers
This means my yearly bill will go from £161.40 last year to £249 this year
Spoke to a manager as the original agent was training and they didn't seem to care and just said they are still one of the cheapest and it is now a company decision to not allow existing broadband customers to take out the line rental saver and line rental is now £18.80p/m0 -
How do you think I stand with these people I've added the paperwork I have and there trying to take a payment out where I cancelled the Direct Debit.
On top of that, I ma get a Charge on my Santander account.
And I have their service on my line. (Direct Serve)0 -
If you cancelled the direct debit and don't cancel the contract or its not out of the minimum contract period then OF COURSE they will attempt to take moneyEx forum ambassador

I can't make any sense of your post, please edit it so we can understand what the actual problem is?Please be nice to all MoneySavers. That’s the forum motto. Anyone with these, thinking of jumping ship from BT.

Been with BT over 5 years on FTTC and 14 months prior with webtapestry. I am on a rolling monthly contract since 20 October last year now received a worthless valued customer offer of £54 Phone, line rental and Infinity 2. No advantage to me that's what paying now plus addon free calls nights and weekends brings it to £58.80 p/m. New customers better off by £9 p/m, know I can bargain but not going to come down £15 to £20 p/m nearer to Sky and others.
Virgin cables been laid last week, customer service non existent we haven't a switch on date. Only any good for the non traffic managed pack £50 p/m and probably lose established phone number.
Started having a look around noticed Direct Save not the cheapest but may offer a better service when needed. Upon checking no throttling or traffic management, calls cheaper with no min 23p, UK call centre. Looks like discount club as well, if any good bonus.
Not fussed about router will use my own. Anyone know anything about them good or bad?0
