Just shop at Morrisons if it's cheaper for you. It's really not worth getting angry over, when there are so many supermarkets to chose from.

I think you've miss-understood my point. I knew before reading this thread that Asda was cheaper. I think the idiots are the ones naive enough to believe everything they read!

Does it really matter? Have you actually used one of those things to decided where you shop? I very much doubt it. Why? Because you already know!!!!!!!!

OP - Who actually cares and what's your point?

It is all Marketing, of course Tesco (and ANY other supermarket) are going to promote ther lowest prices over anyone elses - it isn't regulated by law so they can pick and choose what they brand.

OP - ASDA/Sainsburys/Morrisons all have price checkers and employ the Same Tactics - Are you going to then start a thread for each of those accusing them of conning consumers, or let me guess, Tescos is the big evil baddie and as such only they are deserving of a Vented Post, helpfully ignoring any wrongdoing from other supermarkets as they are immune! :rolleyes:

as this is a forum to help others save money and consumer revenge i think he has a valid point and he probably thought he was being helpful by drawing our attention to the fact that if you think your saving money using tesco price checker that you probably really arent.

for those of u who have criticised, havent u better things to do than save money too ? im sure you spend spending ages looking through money off codes to save yourself a few pennies?

I dont shop at Tesco, preferring Asda, thats just a personal choice, I dont have any gripes with either Tesco, Morrisons or Asda, some items may cost more at Asda than Tesco, other items may cost less. I suppose I could shop at all three and get the best ultimate deal, but thats inconvenient.

I would say ALL supermarkets have underhand tactics of one way or another to compete against rivals. I know for example Netto and Aldi products wouldnt appeal to me, but would the Milk and Sugar be any different? its certainly cheaper than Asda's, Tesco's and Morrison's.

Branded products like Nescafe, Heinz or Tetley's may vary in price from Tesco and Asda, one store may offer Tetley Teabags with 100% extra free, whereas the other may offer a BOGOF offer, in that respect there isnt any difference in the quantity, unless the price is cheaper from one store to the other. Own branded products like Tesco Coffee or Asda Teabags, would depend on the quality and the price.

Sure each store is going to do whatever it can to take customers away from the other, thats how business operates, ultimatley, its down to the customer. If your not happy with Tesco, Try Asda or Morrisons and vice versa.

Tescos is the UK's no 1 supermarket, clearly they didn't manage that by ripping people off.

The UK trusts tescos.
