Help - Private Eye debt recovery letter

Hi, I received 2 letters from Private eye stating I should pay £120 . I ignored both. However today I received a letter from a Debt Recovery Agency asking for the money. What should I do ...... Not sure if it's different however I live in Scotland .

It's ParkingEye. Private Eye is a well-known satirical magazine.

Advice for Scotland is the same as it always was: ignore it.

Just out of interest, do any of the letters hint that the registered keeper could be held liable for the charge, and/or mention the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012?

    Yup - keep-on ignoring this.

PE can't do anything in Scotland if you don't identify the driver to them - and even if you have chances of anything meaningful happening are slim.

  • No I don't think so - does this make a difference?

If its taken this long, then it looks like your company has done the right thing and passed-on your details instead of simply paying the invoice, so they can't go back to the company now - So just keep ignoring.
