Just a thought, but would it be worth while asking other businesses in the same block as you if they have enough post that they have it collected by RM and if they do, would they mind if you added your mail to their bag.

Expanding on that thought. If there are 10 businesses in the same small arear who don't generate enough post each to qualify for RM collections, what about getting together to gather all the mail in one business so that there is enough to qualify ?.

Good thought. We're not in an area with much business though: an advice centre and shops mostly.

We wouldn't be able to host the collection but it's a thought to keep in mind.
