    But that actually says you CAN post up to 30 items a day into a normal letterbox. True, it also mentions using a specially supplied 'outer', which I don't believe we have: hence the elastic bands. We're usually only posting half a dozen items.

    We did recently do a mailing of over 300 - maybe the fourth or fifth time we've done this since getting the franking machine, so if we're going to get into trouble I'd expect it to be soon. Or several months ago. Or several months before that ...

    IF you are going to worry about this ( which I am sure you will) you can order the franked mail pouches free or charge from RM Buisiness

    oh they'll wait...................until someone "new" starts at the sorting office
    someone who needs to prove themselves............
    then
    they'll strike............. with an "official" letter.................

    or actually........now they are privatised, they probably won't care as long as you are using them and not a rival - oooh I think it is FAB that you have evaded their wrath for a year................

    I'm quite envious actually ........... :p

    Now there's a thought, we do have a local delivery service, and most of our letters are local. :wink:

    Just need to find that sorting office. Is it run by the GPO?

    nope,as there is no such thing as a sorting office
    Mail centres,SPDOs,delivery offices......but no sorting offices.
