Buying new car.Please help .
Hello all,
I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this. Please direct me if im wrong.
I will be picking up my new qashqai from my nearest dealer on thursday. We have so far paid a £250 deposit on it and been today to sign up the nissan finance paperwork , as we are taking up the finance deal. They gave us our registration number which i was pretty surprised to see that they have already registered the car without us putting any deposit down apart from £250. Did all this 2 hours ago, only to get home and checked the email that another dealer 10 miles away is offering the same new car £1000 less than the deal we signed up for.
I'm struck now as to what to do. Would i be able to backout from this offer at this point or am I obliged to buy it ?Any suggestions greatfully recieved.

You could speak to the dealer and see if they'll reduce the price? But you did agree to pay the price and paid the deposit so it depends what you signed to confirm thatRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

Thanks Jimjames for your reply. All we have signed is the finance agreement. Don't remember signing any contracts or order forms. Will speak to them tomorrow and see what they say.0

Curious as to what you mean there ? I know Nissan and Renault share R&D and also share some common platforms and running gear, but the QQ is built at the Nissan plant in Sunderland.
Not arguing with you, just genuinely curious - not least because Nissan have historically been viewed as "reliable Japanese" cars, whereas Renault are viewed as "rubbish French cars" - rightly or wrongly !!0 -
The qashqai diesel engine is produced by Renault whereas the petrol engine is a Nissan.0

Everything negative I've heard about Renault is based around the electronics rather than the engine, anyone else attest to poor engine quality specifically ?Started 07/15. Car finance £6951 , Mortgage: 261k - Savings: £0! Home improvements are expensive0 -

I don't think I would buy a diesel anymore with all the DPF problems , it doesn't matter which make you choose, if you only do short journeys you will have problems.0
