many money savers, including me, would say they've done you a favour, but each to their own.0

Your civic responsibility does you credit.0 -
It will show whether you are on or off. The system won't show pending. You do realise you have a legal obligation to register to vote even if you don't wish to exercise your democratic right to actually use it?0

Is buying a cheaper car an option ?0

Your local council will most likely send an extract of the ER to the credit reference agencies once a month, if you have just missed the extract it could be another 4 weeks before they send another. Then you need to allow time for the credit reference agencies to process the data, so it could be 5-6 weeks before you show as registered.0

It almost sounds like the OP thinks it's the fault of the electoral registrar. What goes around - comes around0

Registering to vote is a legal obligation which also brings responsibilities like possibly being called as a juror, which is an essential part of a functioning society.
It is amazing that the UK is so lax about enforcing this obligation. The mechanics and information databases required to enforce it are all there (For example - Who would have known that the DVLA knew your National Insurance number?)
IMO it should be illegal to lend anyone money unless they are on the electoral roll or have been somewhere else recently.
If someone asked me to lend them money, I would certainly take a very dim view of them if I know they habitually shirked their legal and civic responsibilities. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.
We belong to the Earth0 -
