Money Moral Dilemma: Should we sell our child's unwanted gifts?

My folks are in their seventies, and have just asked us and my brother to help them sort out their jam packed loft. They will need to hire a skip. In the loft, will be well played with toys, books, you name it, it will be up there. They are worth nothing now (probably) yet my parents will have to pay for a skip, and there will be six of us spending a whole weekend unloading the carp.
It is, after all, our stuff. How I wish they had got rid of it and spent the money on themselves for giving us such a fab upbringing.
Judging by some of these posts where the "stuff belongs to the kids" maybe they should charge is storage.
It means nothing now, its just stuff.
Sell it, get some money from it, and put it to whatever use you like.Never again will the wolf get so close to my door :eek:0 -
Second hand toys worth a tenner?! Not really worth the effort of listing them online to sell, ask your child (seeing as they were given to them) and if they don't want them drop them in a charity shop when you're next passing.0

It's morally wrong. Your friends gave you toys without asking for payment. If your child doesn't play with them, GIVE them to a child who would. You could post on Gumtree Freebies, you could take them to a nursery/playgroup or ask your Dr's surgery/Dentist - would they like toys for a playbox in their waiting room.0
