So I logged on to Noddle to see my shiny new credit report for the previous month and check there is nothing untoward going on. BTW I have jumped from 4/5 to 5/5 despite no changes! AML searches are simply the website checking your identity and that you are who you say you are. This is quite proper and lawful. An AML check, also called an identity check, does NOT give the service provider access to your personal credit data. It just does as it says.

Sometimes the name of the search causes concern.
