So many searches on my file

So I logged on to Noddle to see my shiny new credit report for the previous month and check there is nothing untoward going on. BTW I have jumped from 4/5 to 5/5 despite no changes! (for what its worth)
But what I want to ask is about searches. I'm not planning on applying for any credit anytime soon, just want to keep my file in a decent condition.
On my noddle report, I can see approximately 40 previous searches on my file, from around August 2013 until present. The reasons are listed as the following:
Quotation Search
Identification Check
General Insurance
Anti Money Laundering
Administration Review
Checking Credit Application
Would I be correct in thinking that the only type that new lenders would see is the Checking Credit Application? Only one of these listed in the circa 40 searches and I am happy that the date and lender listed against this coincides with my last BT credit card, so nothing dodgy about it.

If you've used a search engine for car/home/holiday insurance you'll generate dozens of ID, General Insurance and Quotation checks and they're nothing to worry about.
Not sure what the Administration and Money Laundering ones are about though.0 -
The anti money laundering one is listed against Barclaycard (who I do have a card with). One in June this year, and one in june last year, maybe its something they do on an annual basis?Mortgage = [STRIKE]£113,495 (May 2009)[/STRIKE] £67462.74 Jun 20190

Yep. Anti Money-laundering searches are nothing to worry about, they're basically just admin checks to ensure there's nothing dodgy going on. They wont be seen by other lenders. Same with ID checks and Administration Review.
Not sure if General Insurance searches are visible to other lenders, but even if they are I can't see how it would hurt an application.
Quotation search sounds like an unmarked enquiry as well (not visible) although again not sure.0 -
I've got a lot of searches because of using comparison websites in the past. Even when I've not searched for car insurance select companies have had a look at my file.
They've certainly not caused me any problems as/when I've applied for credit. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
i have few anti money-loundering checks and most of them are from betting websites ,but in the past that did not stop from me getting two contract phones ,one from vodafone one from tesco and i got a credit card from santander which they recently increased my limit, approved credit card from tesco as well but they asked to verify ID which i opted for santander0

Nevertheless you might want to minimise this activity. Do so by using bogus but realistic data in comparison websites. Only when you're ready to purchase a product should you enter genuine details.0 -

Aren't CRAs marvellous organisations! They hold vast amounts of personal information about you, and they give BETTING WEBSITES (!!!!!!!) unfettered access to it. You may as well just post the whole bloody lot of it on Facebook!0 -
