  • No way I would send it.
Tell me a woman that hasnt got more than one dress.:D
Sounds dodgy to me.If she was that desperate for a new dress for £30 she could have gone and got one without shopping on e bay
Remember only people who say money doesn't matter have already got enough
  • If she bought on Sunday and wanted it quickly, why didn't she send the cheque on Monday? Is it possible she'd deliberately delayed it because the money isn't yet in her bank to cover it, and she's calculated by normal cheque clearing times it should clear after her payday or whatever?
I'd offer her my bank details and tell her that if she can pay the money directly into the bank account at a branch near her, I could then post the dress immediately and return the cheque to her when it arrives, but that to comply with eBay's instructions I would not post before receiving cleared payment.
I certainly wouldn't think of posting before the cheque's even arrived. I have occasionally posted items before cheque clearance, but usually with low value items where I haven't banked the cheque till a couple of days or so after receiving it.
