I debated for ages what colours to do my shed and it definitely is an acquired taste (pink) but what helped me was searching on Instagram and Pinterest if you use those...

If you search cuprinol or cuprinolgardenshades, you get to see quite a varied lot of other peoples gardens!! xx
Do good and good will come to you.
  • Well after a few tester pots (😓) we chose forest oak Cuprinol Ducksback and the effect is brilliant we are so pleased with the result the fencing looks like new and the colour of all the plants is really enhanced. Still 3 panels to do so will put a piccie on when finished.

It's not for the faint-of-heart, but ebony really makes the colours of plants pop-out from the background.

My neighbour did his shed in Beaumont Blue and IMHO it looks ridiculous in the garden.

i paint my planted aquarium black, it does really make the plants pop. Not sure about a whole garden though. We have 6' tall garden fence and all black would be pretty gloomy. it would look gloomy for most of the year, aparat from a short periods of full sun in the summer.
  • I wanted to put a photo on but can't work out how to do it, can someone help please...

You have to use a photo sharing site such as photobucket, then you copy the link from there and use the image tag-looks like a little post card to me. Above the quick reply box.
  • Light colours will make the garden look larger, and using light coloured plants will have the same effect. We have seagrass in the front garden, on our picket fence, and a similar colour on the front door. it suits most seasons, looks good in spring and summer and then looks quite nice when the Christmas lights are on too.

I used the Ronseal Woodland Colours Willow stain on my shed and companion bench. It covered the original faded red/brown colour well and looks very nice if I do say so myself.
