Nicest Sliced Bread?

We try not to eat a lot of bread, an occasional treat is a couple of fresh baked rolls for lunch if we are shopping in Lidls or Morrisons. (Unfortunately we don't have any lovely artisan bakers around here
) Otherwise, I keep a stock of crispbreads, oatcakes etc.
The problem is that OH likes a sandwich now and again so I've tried to keep sliced bread in the freezer. All of the ones we've tried seem to crumble when defrosted, taste off, or leave you with an awful bloated feeling.
I wondered if anyone could recommend a branded, supermarket- type bread that we can easily obtain and split for the freezer please? I've been buying those Warburtons thins which are available in a few different varieties and don't take up a lot of freezer space, hopefully someone can help out with other types? Thank you.

We don't eat a lot of bread either.
I buy the big (800gm) granary loaves from Tesco and slice them myself then pack in 4 slices in clingfilm and put in a freezer bag.1 -
I like Warburtons Danish.
The trick to defrosting is to leave it in a plastic bag to defrost and then it doesn't dry out as its defrosting.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.1 -
I like warburtons toastie.1

The nicest bread by far is the stuff i make at home.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

As you mention you go to Morrison`s anyway, have you tried their own brand `white with More`?
OH & I don`t eat much bread, DS is the breadaholic here, and this is the only `50/50` bread he will eat, also it`s only 59p and keeps better than the big brands which I found were spotty with mould sometimes before their use-by date. It freezes/thaws well too, in small batches, but as KcKneff said leave it wrapped to thaw slowly.1 -
I prefer my own home-made bread but in a pinch Aldi white is a really nice loafBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

You did say supermarket, but we love Greggs sliced poppy seeded loaves and they freeze/defrost really well. Thought perhaps you may have a Greggs near you1

Own-baked, fresh, plenty of butter and a good sharp bread knife!1

Warburtons toastie by a mile, and we keep ours in the freezer too. I like cutting my own crusty bread but I cut it so thick I only get 6 slices out of a loaf so I stopped buying it.1

I keep bread in the freezer but I bag it up into portions before I freeze it then it defrosts in it's own little bag. After use turn bag inside out and save for the next loaf. It takes a little time at the start but it's worth it. We have Roberts bread.1
