Just a quick one , where can you get a 6300 unlocked as i tried a few web sites but they don't have the unlock codes yet .

The Nokia is NOT 3G so it may work for a while till 3 find its not a 3G phone then the could block it.

yep not a 3g phone, hence 3 simcard will not work, even if it does (and it may do) 3 will block it.

And before posting a Q like this would have been easier to check gsmarena.com. If it says 3g = yes then it is 3g.

3 WILL NOT block your sim if you use it in a 2g phone, as stated here.

They will block it, if you are ALWAYS in 2g mode even in a 3g area they WILL get suspicious and warn you and eventually block your sim.

But that does say you can use it in another phone - maybe it is only for PAYG.

I dont know about contract, but as above, 3 are quite happy for you to use your PAYG sim in a 2G phone.
