PlusNet waste of time

Went to PlusNet website after seeing their deals. Wanted Anytime calls with either normal broadband, 20G or more, or possibly fibre broadband. Opened Chat window as had a few questions to ask. Was offered a good deal for fibre £5 a month for 6 months then £19.99 a month thereafter (inclusive of unlimited fibre and anytime calls) - less the £50 voucher this was £100 less per year than I am currently paying for BT normal broadband 10GB and anytime calls. Went to BT to see if they could match this. Tried twice but got nowhere as good a deal. Told BT going to PlusNet. However, when went online to book PlusNet, my deal wasn't there. Went back on chat to same handler, who suggested it was a browser problem and sent me a link for Google Chrome. Went back a few days later, same problem but this time handler told me she had made an error and that package wasn't available to me as I wasn't in one of their cheap package areas. The price went up an extra £135 for the package so I was better off staying with BT. Total about 6 hours of tooing and froing. Complete waste of my time. Can I insist they give me the package they quoted. I have the transcript? If not, it is back to BT...... Very frustrating to waste so much time and get nowhere.

You do know who owns plusnet don't you........?
Sadly Plusnet's customer service has gone way downhill over the last 2 years.0 -
Shop around. Sky are doing a pretty good deal at the moment and a lot cheaper than BT. I have just moved from BT to Sky (activation this week). I cant comment on reliability or customer service though but its only a 12 month minimum term (for fibre unlimited). BT wanted 18 months as an existing customer. This deal is £10 per month cheaper than BT for the entire 12 months.0
