Vodafone full of false promises
Over 1 month ago Vodafone lost my account details during a transition from their old accounting system to the new system. They then said I had requested to transfer my number to a new supplier and cancel my monthly account (which I hadn't). During their investigation they then said this was down to fraudulent activity and would resolve it shortly - in the meantime I would have to take out a pay as you go sim.
5 weeks later and dozens of calls promising me they can resolve the issue they have now taken £344 from my monthly direct debit for cancellation of my account. I see no other action other than taking them to the small claims court but I am horrified at their conduct to a loyal customer of over 8 years

Do a DD indemnity with your bank and contact Vodafone immediately via live chat so you have a transcript of the communication. Advise them of what you have done and what you expect the outcome to be. Be clear and advise them that you will take action unless the issue is resolved within xx days etcI spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0
